The sustainable development strategy
At LB MINERALS, s.r.o., we recognize the responsibility that comes with the extraction of mineral resources. Our priority is to minimize environmental impacts, protect natural resources, and communicate transparently about the environmental profile of our products.
Thanks to a systematic approach, we have developed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies that help us accurately monitor and optimize the environmental impacts of our products. The results of these analyses are summarized and quantified in Environmental Product Declarations (EPD). These independently verified documents provide detailed and standardized information about the environmental impacts of our products.
This comprehensive expert support enables our customers and partners to effectively navigate the environmental aspects of our products.
Our company has also been actively monitoring its overall carbon footprint since 2020. We measure and report greenhouse gas emissions across all three scopes – Scope 1 (direct emissions), Scope 2 (indirect emissions from purchased energy), and Scope 3 (other indirect emissions within the supply chain). We follow the methodology of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, an internationally recognized standard for measuring and managing emissions. This approach allows us to systematically reduce our environmental impact and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Since 2013, we have been a member of the EcoVadis international platform, which specializes in independent sustainability assessments of companies in four key areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement practices. In the latest 2025 assessment, we achieved the 82nd percentile, ranking us among the top 18% of companies worldwide across industries, confirming our long-term commitment to responsible and sustainable business.
In the overall evaluation, we received 68 out of 100 points and were awarded the Bronze Medal, placing us among the top 35% of companies in terms of sustainability performance.
