The future
we help to create.

We produce raw materials
of the highest quality

We extract and process raw materials that are used across a wide range of industrial sectors. Thanks to many years of experience, high-quality inputs and careful processing, we supply products with properties our customers can rely on over the long term.

Every hectare has a future

The extraction of mineral raw materials changes the landscape. Restoring the landscape after extraction is therefore an equally important part of our work. We plan reclamation as early as the preparatory phase of extraction, and once it is complete we gradually return the area to a new use, taking into account local conditions and the future needs of the region.

  • Landscape restoration is part of extraction

Remediation and reclamation are not the last step after extraction ends. They are an integral part of the whole process and are prepared alongside the planning of the extraction of the deposit, in cooperation with expert institutions, state authorities and, not least, landowners.

We respect the character of the landscape and the needs of each location.
  • A new landscape after extraction

Extraction is an intervention in the landscape, but at the same time it can create conditions for new biotopes to emerge. Alongside agricultural and forestry reclamation, water bodies are also created, as well as areas left to develop naturally, which become a refuge for many protected plants and animals and thus help increase biodiversity and contribute to retaining water in the landscape.

We create an environment that will benefit both nature and people over the long term.
  • Responsibility with clear rules

Reclamation is financed from funds that the company builds up continuously throughout the entire period of extraction. The obligation to set aside funds for reclamation has long been enshrined in mining legislation. These funds are held in special restricted accounts and may be used exclusively for remediation and reclamation.

This system ensures that funds for restoring the landscape are always available, regardless of the company's future development.

What is the result of reclamation?

The result can be a forest, a field, a body of water or an area used for recreation.

The basis of forestry reclamation is a suitable design of the species composition of the future stand. In the past, monoculture stands were established on reclaimed areas, often consisting only of Norway spruce or other single species. Today the trend is different. Great emphasis is placed on the diversity and resilience of the future stand. Site-native and geographically native tree species are used, so that the species composition is as close to the original and as varied as possible.

The result of hydric reclamation is the creation of artificial lakes, small water bodies – wetlands – and other water systems. The creation of larger water bodies gives rise to strong ecosystems capable of positively influencing their immediate surroundings. They serve as a refuge for many animals and plants, and are also a significant water reservoir.

If the site of extraction was originally a field or other agricultural land, there is often a requirement to reclaim it back to land that can once again be used for agriculture.

Near-natural reclamation is a new trend that significantly respects the requirements of animals and plants when restoring the landscape, so that new biotopes emerge that are as natural as possible. The basis of near-natural reclamation is the creation of varied and diverse terrain once extraction has ended, so that the area prepared in this way can be used as effectively as possible by a greater number of animal and plant species.

The reclamation of extracted areas takes considerable effort and is financially demanding.

The areas created by reclamation can offer new development for the region. They contribute to retaining water in the landscape and to increasing the appeal of the area for animals, plants and people alike.

We are a partner where
we operate.

We help, get involved and support life in the regions that have long been connected with our work. We cooperate with municipalities, local associations and institutions, and we support what makes sense for local people and for the landscape. We are not interested in one-off gestures, but in long-term partnerships and tangible benefit.

Support & cooperation

Every region is different. That is why we approach cooperation individually and with respect for local needs.

Environmental association

In cooperation with a local environmental association, we planted an avenue of lime trees that naturally complemented the landscape and created a new place to rest.

Wildlife rescue centre

We provided material support to a wildlife rescue centre for the construction of a new pavilion. In this way we help improve conditions for the care of injured and endangered animals.

Educational activities

We support educational activities for nursery, primary, secondary schools and universities. We organise guided tours and expert lectures, and we support young talent through student competitions that connect theory with practice.

Healthy landscape

We are a partner of the Healthy Landscape project. We support the protection of the yellow-bellied toad – one of the most endangered species in our natural environment. In cooperation with the Pilsen Region we take measures that help preserve its natural habitat.

Fire and Rescue Service

We allow the Fire and Rescue Service to use our sites for specialised training, for example rescuing people from frozen water surfaces. In this way we contribute to increasing safety for everyone.

Local associations

We support the work of local associations and community activities – from social events to hunting and sporting competitions and dog training. We believe that a lively region is made up of people who want to meet and cooperate.

Municipalities in the region

We have long supported municipalities in the regions where we operate, and we take part in projects that improve the everyday life of their residents. We help financially, materially and technically – whether it is repairing roads, cleaning reservoirs or contributing to cultural and sporting events. Our help thus brings real benefit to local people, and that matters to us.
